Description:
Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant Wanted in our orthopedic outpatient facility in Detroit.

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for the treatment of patients with physical and musculoskeletal impairments. Therapists in this role will provide one on one physical therapy care to adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses in both our inpatient and outpatient settings. They will coordinate the plan of care with the therapist of record toward the established treatment goals. Additionally they will interact and provide advice and education to patients and caregivers as needed. After one year of experience, serves as a clinical instructor for first year Physical Therapy Assistant interns.

Requirements:

Licensure to practice as Physical Therapist Assistant by the State of Michigan
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist curriculum.
Experience in an acute care hospital setting strongly preferred
Must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays
CPR (BLS) certification
Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 90days of hire
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
