JLMENAU 'Echt Kolbalt' 24K Gold Leaf Tea Set was $899.95
This exquisite tea set Echt Kobalt by JLMENAU is a must for any serious collector of fine antiques. Each piece is beautifully hand painted in 24 karat gold leaf with heavy gold trim. The rich cobalt color background with fine gold detail makes a rich and sophisticated design that appeals to any person of fine taste. Each piece is stamped with the crown detail. The stamp reads: "Grof von Henneberg Porzellan 1777 Made in Germany Echt Kobalt."[This mark was used between 1934 and 1949.] Each piece is numbered, most are hand signed and numbered in white. Most pieces have the number 38. The base of the tea pot is marked in white 'Carmen J1620K'.
THE SET IS IN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING CONDITION with no chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or crazing. There is a slight pinkish tone to some of the gold trim.
The set includes the following pieces:
6 footed cups [4" dia.x 2.5"H]
6 saucers [6" dia.]
6 desert plates [7-3/4" dia.]
sugar bowl with lid
creamer pitcher
teapot with lid
