PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC.
8/13/12 Muffy is a petite seal point Himalayan who loves to play and enjoys as much attention as she can get. Her long fur makes her look like a little doll wearing a long flowing dress when she sits still. While she is beautiful with her long, flowing hair, SHE much prefers it when she has a short lion cut...after all, did anyone ask her if she wanted to be a Himi?? We aren't quite sure of Muffy's age as her teeth indicate that she's older but her personality is definitely that of a younger adult. Muffy isn't bothered by either large or small dogs. She should also be okay in a home with perhaps one or two other cats as long as she gets plenty of human time. We believe that Muffy would thrive with a family who has a stay-at-home Mom or perhaps a daughter who would treat her like a little Princess. Muffy, aka Scruffy Muffy, does come with a bit of baggage. She has a history of urinary tract infections and crystals in her urine. However, if she eats a prescription diet specifically for urinary tract issues, she seems to be problem free. On occasion, she also has issues with missing her litter box but, when she does, she usually targets the pads under the litter. Once in a great while, she'll miss and use a piece of material or a rug. We feel that much of this behavior is due to her living in a multiple cat environment. While we can't guarantee that she won't have litter issues in a new home, we are very hopeful that her good litter habits will return in a home with less cats. Purrs Abound does not adopt any cat/kitten to homes with children under the age of 5 or a home with dogs unless the dog has previously been exposed to cats and proven to be cat-friendly.
