Description:
Corporate Controller to provide accounting, process and reporting leadership within the Management Team. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting and finance experience (including public accounting/CPA a plus), has a passion for entrepreneurship, and is looking to join a fast-paced, growing organization.

The position reports to the CEO & President. Responsibilities
-Income statement and balance sheet analytics to interpret financial results and trends with summary of key variances and relevant metrics.
-Monthly close of the books and records; includes overseeing general ledger preparation and preparing and maintaining balance sheet and P&L schedules
-Provide analysis of results to Management.
-Liaise with Operations Team for management of results to budget
-Provide expert operational support to businesses for new initiatives
-Compile monthly pre-close agenda and related documentation of non-routine transactions.
-Develop and implement GAAP and operational accounting policies and procedures
-Establish and maintain appropriate controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets and accurate financial reporting
-Manage external financial audit activities
-Conduct financial analyses as needed

Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree and/or CPA
-Preferred 10+ years GAAP accounting experience ; Big 4 or major public accounting firm experience
-Highly proactive and motivated self-starter with roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic
-Experience managing a team. Strong leadership skills and an ability and desire to mentor.
-Analytical and detail oriented with well-developed financial analysis capabilities
-Advanced proficiency in maintaining a General Ledger System

Industry background in Retail a plus, including proficiency in retail accounting.
-Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
