Description:
Payroll Analyst

- Coordinating the efforts of the Payroll Administrators/Analysts
- Contacts and assists clients in process of obtaining information for payroll production and tax related issues; verifies totals, responds to/resolves client questions and problems and delivers quality customer service
- Opening and closing up to three payroll cycles each month - Importing files from other systems
- Accurately keys all payroll related data necessary to process and meet deadlines
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, other teams and team members to represent the team positively
- Managing garnishments, data changes, paid time off submission, and a variety of other data elements (e.g. other earnings and deductions)
- Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for leadership
- Handling multi-company and multi-state payroll
- Auditing
- Running of numerous reports
- Keeps abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws, and corresponds with federal, state and local tax agencies
- Ensuring that all federal, state and local taxes, social security contributions, contributions to 401(k) and other deductions, are withheld from individual paychecks
- Find better ways of doing things and executing on those ideas
- Effectively manage a significant amount of company growth

Requirements

- Strong communication and client service skills - required
- 3 - 5 years of payroll experience - required
- Strong computer skills (Excel) - required
- Good analytical and problem solving skills - required
- Working knowledge of current payroll laws - required
- Bachelor's degree - preferred
- Experience using Time and Attendance systems and a familiarity with HRIS and - preferred
- CPP certification - preferred
